“And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”- psalm 50:15

To Be a Blessing-2016

Today’s promise: God’s Grace is Greater

20 [a]The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Romans 5:20-21

Sovereign God, Almighty Father, I am immensely grateful you have chosen me and now I live by your infinite and lavish grace. Lord please forgive me from all my sins this year 2015, and I pray that you will use me mightly to be a blessing to my family, the body of Christ, and my unbelieving friends. Please help me to have you as the center of everything that I do, so that you may be glorified in me.

Psalm 103-Sovereign Grace

Bless the Lord
O my soul
And all that’s within me praise Him
Bless the Lord
O my soul
And forget not all He’s done
He forgives all your iniquities
And He heals all your infirmities
He redeems your life from the pit
And crowns you with mercy

As far as the east is from the west
So far have You taken our sins from us
And as high as the heavens are over the earth
So great is Your steadfast love toward us

Bless the Lord
O my soul
And all that’s within me praise Him
Bless the Lord
O my soul
And forget not who He is
As a father shows compassion
To his beloved children
So the Lord shows compassion to us
To those who fear Him

Purpose in Life

Sometimes I catch myself hearing lies and get discouraged. I need to remember life is not about me. Life is about loving God and loving others.

My 2016 New Year’s resolution is to love others selflessly. I plan to meditate on verses on “one another” to keep me grounded. (Note to self: only thing that counts is faith expressed through love).

Christmas + Fury(2014)

Today was a fun day with the family. We went hiking so I think the time was spent well. Then we watched Fury. It was sad to see so many people die due to the war, and I’m grateful for all the soldiers who fought so courageously and sacrificed their lives.

I hope to be a soldier of Christ like that here on earth.

Psalm 48:14 “For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide Even to death.”

Pressing on

“To glorify God means to have our lives make him obvious and beautiful. We want Him to be famous. We want to draw attention to the glorious God who loved us, and we do that by trusting Him and loving others.”- Ed Welch

Look to God

Father, Sometimes I look at my circumstances, and they cause my heart to fear. Many times I feel like the disciples who fretted in the midst of the storm. But when I look to You, I’m greatly comforted.

“For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”- Zephaniah 3:17

Winter Break- Day 4

I had so much fun yesterday over at Shawni’s place. We made  Chex muddy buddies with Chase, and I enjoyed hearing him talk and say so many words for the first time! 🙂

Today started off with more of a disappointment, but I trust God knows best. Sometimes with disappointments from people, I find myself brooding over those incidents which makes my heart sad. But in spite of these incidences, I need to choose love. (Note to self: Humble people love).

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” – Galatians 5:6

Another thing that came to mind is that I need to focus. But even then all my effort is meaningless apart from God’s grace. His grace is sufficient. So whenever my heart is faint, weary, timid, and sorrowful, I will turn to Him and pour out my heart to Him.

“They do not cry out to me from their hearts but wail upon their beds” – Hosea 7:14.

“Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.” -Ps. 62:8

God’s promise:

“Therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you” – Isaiah 30:18

Gracious Father, you know my longings, and they lie open before You. I thank You that you deal with me not as I deserve, but as how Christ deserves. If it glorifies You, blesses Your name, and pleases You, then I ask that You will bless me.
